Lindsay Bandy

Lindsay Bandy grew up on a nutritiously eclectic diet of Hitchcock and Dickens, 80s music and poetry, watching The Twilight Zone marathon every New Year’s Day because it’s luckier than sauerkraut. After too much moving around as a kid and teen, she decided to live in her head—which worked just fine until she fell in love and decided to live with her husband, instead. Now, while living happily ever after in a house full of kids, cats, and music, she writes historical and speculative contemporary YA fiction as well as poetry.

No matter the genre, Lindsay loves story with witty characters who feel and think deeply, ask scary questions, find real love, and get smarter by the end. Some of her favorite authors are Marcus Sedgwick, Ruta Sepetys, Nova Ren Suma, and Billy Collins. Her best binge-watches have been Stranger Things, Downtown Abbey, and Babylon Berlin.

Lindsay is the Co-Regional Advisor of the Eastern PA region of SCBWI.
