Cate lives in Nashville with her two wonderful children. When she’s not working full time or being a mom full time, she slips into her teen alter ego and writes Young Adult novels.
Cate began writing in elementary school for an assignment, and from there, the love of creative writing took hold. It wasn’t until college that she realized that her dream was to create the perfect romance; she’s still working on that.
So why Young Adult Paranormal?
“I’m fascinated with creating characters that defy normal limitations. But I think what makes these types of characters so interesting is that their weaknesses, their flaws, tend to be humans or humanity itself. With YA, one of the themes that affects young adults is identity, and when your characters’ identies don’t fall into typical groups, it provides for great conflict.”
